Neighborhood House, Inc. is a nonprofit organization under
Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations
to our agency are 100 percent tax-deductible.
Our revenues are derived from public support--donations from
individuals and businesses, grants from foundations, United
Way, and fundraising events. The balance of our funding comes
from local, state, and government grants.
How to Give
Anyone who is interested in making a tax-deductible donation
to our agency can do so by sending a check, cash, or money
order to:

If you wish to designate your donation for a specific program
or purpose, please note it on the check or in an accompanying
letter. We will ensure that your wishes are followed.
Credit Card Donations
We accept charge card donations for Visa and MasterCard.
You can make a charge card donation by calling Betty Lou Morrow,
our Finance Director,, at (503) 246-1663, ext. 109, email
her at blmorrow@nhweb.org
or notifying us by mail. We protect the confidentiality of
all charge card information.
United Way
Many people choose to target their United Way donations
to our agency. We ask that you request acknowledgement so
we may thank you properly for your generosity.
Other Donations
Individuals who want to make Stock Donations are welcome
to contribute this way. We also accept Living Gifts, which
can be memorialized on our Wall of Caring. To make a bequest
to our agency or include Neighborhood House in your will,
consult your personal accountant or attorney or call Betty
Lou Morrow, our Finance Director, at (503) 246-1663, ext.

Acknowledgements
All donors receive prompt acknowledgement of their gifts
unless they indicate that no acknowledgement is necessary.
For tax purposes, donors must have a receipt for all donations
of $250 or more.
Living Gifts
Living gifts are donations made in memory or honor of
a person or event. Often these donations have special meaning
to the donor and we accept them with gratitude.
Anyone who wishes to make a living gift to our agency can
fill out the "Living Gift" section on our donation
envelope or tell us your intentions in an accompanying letter.
We will send an acknowledgement to the person or family you
choose and include an agency brochure so that they know about
the services that the donation is helping to support. The
acknowledgement doesn't indicate the amount of the donation.
Stock Donations
We gladly accept donations of common stock. Stock donations
can be mailed to:

It is our general policy to cash stock donations as soon
as possible in order to fund critically-needed services in
our community. A receipt is issued to donors based on the
value of the stock on the day it is donated.
