SW HOPE: Feed the Hungry Campaign
February 14 - March 28
The fourth annual SW HOPE: Feed the Hungry campaign will kick off this month with a goal of collecting 150,000 pounds of food, or the cash equivalent ($1 purchases 5 pounds of food at the Oregon Food Bank). More than 28 local faith communities in SW Portland have signed on to address this critical need.
As in past years, the SW HOPE food-raising activities will include collection barrels and informational tables at local businesses, community centers, and faith congregations. Dine Out and Donate promotions will raise money for the campaign via special dining days, coupons, and discounts.
Food donations can be made at any of the faith locations displaying a SW HOPE banner. Donations, both food and monetary, can be made at Neighborhood House, located at 7780 SW Capitol Hwy, on M T W 10-5, Th 10-8, and F 10-2.
